A classical bust rendered in grayscale serves as the foundation for bold, gestural sweeps of hot pink, mint green, and coral that overlay and obscure the sculpture’s features. The composition plays with the tension between the static, timeless quality of the marble original and the raw energy of the painted marks, creating a contemporary collision between art historical reverence and expressive abstraction. Crafted from durable canvas-like poly-poplin and made to order, double-stitched with a cotton webbing strap. The everyday haul, from groceries to the beach, carrying an independent artist’s work.
