A black and white photograph captures the tiled interior of the 14th Street subway station, with bold typography announcing the station name and directional markers for 16th and 14th streets. The geometric grid of small white tiles creates a rhythmic, almost hypnotic pattern across the composition, while thick horizontal bands of dark tile break the surface into distinct zones, conveying the utilitarian, modernist aesthetic of mid-century New York transit infrastructure. Bound with 52 pages of 70lb paper, lined or unlined, behind an anti-scuff matte cover with wraparound artwork, made to order. Notes and sketches kept behind an independent artist’s work, not a plain composition cover.
