Three cranes wade through lush green foliage against a warm golden ground in this two-panel composition, rendered in the delicate illustrative style of 16th century Japanese art. The birds are depicted with naturalistic grace, their long necks and slender legs conveying quiet elegance, while layered greens and mossy details suggest a serene wetland habitat infused with the luminous warmth of aged gold leaf. At home in a gallery space or a collector’s study celebrating classical Asian art. A Baltic birch top with a beveled edge and satin finish, the artwork printed across it, made to order on steel legs in black or gold. A working piece of furniture that earns its place as an independent artist’s work.
