A classical portrait of a figure in dark clothing is fragmented by thick black horizontal bars that interrupt the composition, revealing only partial glimpses of the face and form. Yellow and white flowers bloom across the obscured sections, softening the rigid geometry with organic florals and creating a tension between concealment and delicate natural beauty. Bound with 52 pages of 70lb paper, lined or unlined, behind an anti-scuff matte cover with wraparound artwork, made to order. Notes and sketches kept behind an independent artist’s work, not a plain composition cover.
