The word “ART” appears in large, bold white capitals centered against a solid black rectangle, creating a stark, high-contrast composition that is both direct and ironic. The work’s minimalist approach and quotation marks around the word suggest a conceptual inquiry into what constitutes art itself, using typography as the primary medium. Printed on premium ceramic and made to order, dishwasher and microwave safe, with the artwork wrapping a full 360 degrees. The first cup of the day carrying an artist’s point of view instead of a logo.
