The word “ART” appears in large, bold white capitals centered against a solid black rectangle, creating a stark, high-contrast composition that is both direct and ironic. The work’s minimalist approach and quotation marks around the word suggest a conceptual inquiry into what constitutes art itself, using typography as the primary medium. Crafted from durable canvas-like poly-poplin and made to order, double-stitched with a cotton webbing strap. The everyday haul, from groceries to the beach, carrying an independent artist’s work.
